Fabric Care That Makes Clothes Last
Small habits that keep your favourite pieces looking new for years.
By Luucha Style Desk
The fastest way to make a wardrobe feel more premium is to make what you own last longer. Most wear and tear comes not from the clothes themselves but from how we wash and store them.
Wash less often and cooler. Many pieces only need airing rather than a full wash, and cold water is gentler on both colour and fibre. Turn garments inside out to protect the printed or dyed side.
Dry with care. Direct, harsh sun fades colour quickly, so dry bright pieces in the shade. Reshape knits flat rather than hanging them wet, which stretches the shoulders.
Store thoughtfully. Fold heavy knits, hang structured shirts, and give everything a little breathing room. A crowded wardrobe creases clothes and shortens their life.
None of this takes much effort, but together these habits can double how long a favourite piece stays in rotation.
